Hello, my name is Felix. Welcome to my Wikipage!DSC03024.jpgDSC01940.jpg

I started playing guitar about 4 years ago. I learned it by watching guitar tutorials on youtube.
I come from Germany, where I used to play guitar in a rockband. I like to cover bands like Nirvana, Rise Against and Billy Talant. Guitar is the greatest instrument I know and I love playing my guitar.

Week 1:
During the last days we learned tuning our guitar, and playing "Something in the Air" by Tom Petty. We needed a "D" and a "Em" Chord.
We also set up our Wikipages.

Week 2:
Last week we started practicing in groups so I practiced with Andrew (http://talonsguitar.wikispaces.com/Andrew+D) who also played guitar already.
We practiced our own songs and finally performed "White Sparrows" by Billy Talent and "If it means a Lot to You" by A Day to Remember.
All went ok, our seccond song "If it means a Lot to You" was better I think.

Week 3:
Last week me and Andrew practiced "Surrender" by Billy Talent and "Hero of War" by Rise Against. "Surrender has some lead parts and a difficult chord pattern, "Hero of War" has just a picked intro, the rest is just chords.

Week 4:
Last week Andrew and I played a couple of songs. We didn't need to perform so we just played some stuff for fun.
We started "Little Lion Man" by Mumford & Sons and "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Billy Talent.
I also practiced "Roadside" by Rise Against at home.

Week 5:
Last week we performed "Wake Me Up When September Ends", it was ok. We continued practicing "Roadside", which we plan to perform this week.

Week 6:
Last week we performed "Roadside" by Rise Against. It went pretty well. We're not sure what song we're going to play this week. I learned the tabs of "Pins and Needles" by Billy Talent yesterday.

Week 7:
Last week we didn't had to perform. Andrew and me practiced a song by The Killers, and just jammed.

Week 8:
Last week we performed "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. Its a song composed of just chords which are sometimes pcked and sometimes just strummed. We sang it with two harmonic vocals.

Week 9:
On friday me and Andrew performed "Kids" by The Kooks. Andrew played the chords and sang and I did the lead parts, a solo and little bridge leads between the verses. We are not sure which song we're going to play this week, probably "Pins and Needles" by Billy Talent.

Week 10:
Last week Andrew and me practiced seperately. I practiced "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica, the major scales with all the major and minor modes, and "Last Resort" by Papa Roach.

Week 11:
On friday I performed "Nothing Else Matters" alone and Andrew and me decided to practice "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay and "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin this week. We also played the 4 Chord Song for Fun.

Week 12:
Last week we didn't perform. We played the 4 chord song for fun again and we are thinking about performing "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay this week.

Week 13:
On friday I performed "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. I played the piano. This week we want to perform All I Want by A Day to Remember.

Week 14:
Last week I performed "Swing Life Away" by Rise Against with Andrew and Joel. It was fun.

Week 15:
On friday I performed "Hurt" by Johnny Cash with Andrew and Joel. We kind of messed up but otherwise the song would have been boring.

Week 16:
The last two weeks were Christmas Break. I practiced the major scales with all modes. I especially like the Mixolydian and the Phrygian.

Week 17:
Last Week we learned a lot about songwriting. We started writing our own songs too. Yesterday I rewrote te lyrics of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. We also had a few Worksheets about songwriting. The first draft of my own song is already pretty good and I don't need to make a lot of changes.

Week 18:
Last friday I performed "Hey there Delilah" by Plain White T's with David and Paris. It didn't went well because Paris didn't knew the chords, and because we couldn't hear each other because of the piano.
